Going to night shift
Scooter time
Finally, we have him ON the scooter instead of pushing the scooter! Virgel was pushing him around and he finally agreed that is was a little bit more fun. I think we are still a little time away from him powering the scooter on his own!
Driving
Brother was playing on her toys so, fair is fair. We are struggling with sharing these days. Neither one likes it, except when they are the one getting to play with something. It didn't take long before Ruston wanted his car back. It was easy to tell when he went running to his car yelling "MINE"
Ahhh, Dirt!
Finally, he gets to play in dirt. He really is all boy. Ani has no interest in playing in the dirt and he was as happy as he could be. Hopefully we will plant some grass soon. Well, it will make me happy. Maybe I should leave a little spot of dirt for my boy!
Sliding
Ani wont go anywhere these days with out a baby in her arms. Hey, anyone volunteer to come brush that hair. Yikes, what a mess. Here is one more Nebraska thing we have learned - it is windy here.
What???
I told you Ruston liked that make up kit. This isn't the last time we caught him putting the lip gloss all over his cheeks. He is so proud of himself!
Presents
Finally, she gets to open the presents. Princess Barbies with matching horses, a chest of dress up clothes, an Aurora dress up outfit, a makeup kit (Ruston likes that one to) and a Barbie doll house. All in all a pretty good haul! And a good birthday.
In a box
I bought a canister of helium for balloons and Ani actually fit inside. It is hard to see the size, but it is really small! I was even able to close the lid.
Make a wish
Time for cake. Ani picked out this cake all on her own. I had a hard time figuring out where to put the candles! She blew them all out on her first try. Then I had to figure out how to cut it!!! That was the hard part. As you can see Ruston showed up for the food! Mamaw kept him entertained during the party. She enjoyed being at Ani's birthday party for the first time.
Pin the patch on the pirate
Spin them around three times and see where they go. They were pretty cute. There were a couple of cheaters among the group, they got the patch right where it was suppose to go. Hummm. suspicious!!!
Treasure chests
All of the princesses had treasure chests with jewels to decorate them with. They had a lot of fun. After they were decorated it was time to fill them with TREASURE. Pirates had hidden golden coins all through the living room for them to find. They had a lot of fun hunting for them. I think the main Pirate (me) hid some of them a little bit to well. We had to help them out just a little!
Princesses and Priates
Happy Birthday Ani!!! You are 5. I can't believe it. You are such a big girl. We had a Pirate and Princess party. We only had one pirate and unfortunately he was a crying pirate. His sister was a crying princess as well - the one sitting next to him. They didn't stay long, their dad had to take them home. The rest of the princess had a good time! It was so fun having them all dress up in the same dress.
tickles
Ruston has the best laugh ever and just loves to be tickled! Of course, that means he gets tickled a LOT!
